Two new instant scratch-off games are headed to stores. The North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) is introducing $200,000 Cash and Hot $50’s! The two games are scheduled to go on sale Tuesday, March 9.

For years Richard Darden of Huntersville and his wife had dreamed of winning the lottery and all the good things they could do for themselves and others with their winnings. On Wednesday their dreams came true when they won $1,000,000 playing Powerball. Their ticket matched all five white balls in the March 3 drawing and since it was Power Played, the normal $200,000 prize was multiplied by five to make it $1 million.
